This is the model I made for Field & Stream Magazine, April/May 2018 issue, and featured on the cover of the Field & Stream Total Knife Manual. The 4-1/8 " blade is long enough to handle skinning and cleaning of game, with a point fine enough for detail work. The tang is also fully tapered for better balance.
The Laminated forged blade is an 80CRV2 core with 410 stainless sides. I have left natural forge texture at the spine and hand finished bevels. The blade bevels are hollow ground for a wonderfully thin cutting edge.
The handle is stabilized curly Claro walnut with black micarta pins and carbon fiber lanyard tube. Hand-fitted and moulded leather pouch sheath is right handed.
