Remember those wild Pirate-y blades on the plastic sword you had as a kid...probably came with a halloween costume? I figured you could use an update.
This blade is forged from 80CRV2, forge texture left at the ricasso and spine, with flat ground and hand-finished blade bevels. But I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I finished it with a colorful patina treatment.
The steel guard is matte and blackened scalloped to blend into the Australian Ringed Gidgee handle. The finished piece is well balanced and just a lot of fun.
The sheath is textured Dragonskin with a 2" belt loop and retaining strap.
