Great Alaskan Recurve
Not quite a kukri, but also not NOT a kukri, this simple, elegant camp knife appears graceful to the eyes but feels stout in the hand. Because half the handle is made from lightweight carbon fiber the knife has a solid, blade-heavy balance.
The blade is my Laminated steel of 410 stainless with a 80CRV2 core, with deeply ground fullers and fully hand-finished. The handle is satin-finished fossil walrus ivory over carbon fiber with domed nickel silver pins.
The sheath is a high-ride dragonskin model.
The blade is nearly 12" long with an overall length of 17.5"
(Note: if you live outside the U.S., be aware of your country's laws regarding the importation of fossil ivory before ordering.)
