Axe and Shoot Class, May 11-13, 2022 (Deposit only)
This class is something that's been in the planning stages for a long time, and I'm finally able to make it happen. This is a 3-day class.
The first two days will be spent at my shop forging a full-tang breeching-style axe. These axes have become very popular with Special Ops teams for their strength and versatility as both a tool and a weapon. One of my axes is shown as an example.
On the third day, we will travel out to shoot at one of the most unique shooting experiences you've ever seen. Travis Warlock is a retired Special Forces Officer with combat experience in Afghanistan, and he has built a comprehensive, defensive shooting course in Shady Valley, Tennessee. This is not a range. You don't bring your guns and have fun. Travis provides the weapons, the ammunition and the instruction. He uses his extensive experience to walk students through real-world survival situations in one of the most intricate and fascinating 360 degree shooting courses you can imagine. You can see more at the ATAC website.
The class is $1200 for the three-day class (this includes the shooting course). In order to book the class, only a $100 deposit is collected. The balance can be paid when you arrive by cash, check, or credit card. Class is limited to three people. You must be at least 18 years of age at this time.
Travel: If you are thinking about traveling here for a class, here's some info. There's a great regional airport about 20 minutes from the shop in Blountville, TN (airport code: TRI). There are several hotels very close as well. The Fairfield Inn and Suites (brand new) and the Hampton Inn (Bristol, TN) are the closest, but there are many more just a short drive away. The shop is in Bristol, VA, but we are a border city so when searching for a hotel, hotels in Bristol, TN are in the same town.
