Incongruous

The Incongruous Bowie... The mixing of two distinct materials looks and feels like the process of twisting damascus; it looks and feels very much like a failed attempt to combine two things that just won't mix. The extremely fine lines of the twist pattern remain, and no matter how thin they get they remain distinct.
The blade is only 85 layers of 80CRV2 and 15N20, yet it was twisted so tightly that those 85 layers are repeating every 1/2" of the blade for a fine line pattern with visible ripple on the lower half where the bevels were forged. Not only were the blade bevels forged, but the profile was forged to shape as evidenced by the pattern opening up at the tip. The Thorned guard is made of the same parent material as the blade, with a weathered wenge handle all set off with a couple polished nickel silver elements.
The Dragonskin sheath has a frog stud of matching damascus.
Blade length: just over 10", width: 1.75", Overall 16"
