Frame Handle Camp

$ 1,800.00

I’m continuing to explore the applications of frame handled knives. This piece was forged to shape from a piece of 52100 given to me by a good friend. Making maximum usage of the original piece was part of the fun.

The entire blade and tang are forged from an off-cut of 52100, just like the one in the photo with very little material removed to bring the knife to its final shape. The bevels are rolled from the forged surface to a robust cutting edge and satin finished.

The knife is forged as a hidden tang and the curly maple handle is cut into three pieces and re-assembled with a center frame handle, resulting in an all-wood handle that is very strong and results in a knife that is much lighter than a full-tang counterpart.

The sheath is a high-ride, wood grain finished model for right handed carry.

Blade length: 8” , Overall length: 13.75”
