Nemesis Camp
The White Whale, the great Nemesis - immortalized on this piece as a fitting tribute to his fighting spirit.
This big camp knife has a blade forged from woodgrain pattern damascus. The blade was forged to shape, compressing the layers closer together, evidenced by the visible tightening of the layers as they move toward the edge. The primary bevel is hollow ground with a heavy secondary edge, giving the edge great strength while reducing weight in the blade itself. Additionally a full-length fuller yields a lighter and faster blade.
The curved bolsters are color case hardened and mated to a handle of fossilized whale bone. Bolsters and handle are attached with individually hammer-domed nickel silver pins.
The deep pouch sheath is tooled and airbrushed in a quilted pattern, inspired by the unequalled Paul Long.
