Thorned Laminated Bowie

Another study in color and texture, this big bowie has solid heft and urges the hand to put it to use.

The blade is my Laminated steel (410 stainless with an 80CRV2 core) with forge texture on the spine and ricasso and a sharp clip.  The thorned guard is color case hardened which is not only beautiful but it gives the steel a skin that's as hard as dragon scales.  The handle is weathered wenge with a couple stainless steel accents.

The low-ride sheath has a fading mottled finish that I've been playing with.
