Wrought Bowie

Wrought: made by hammering.  That pretty much describes this fighter perfectly.  I think this might be the first time I've made a largely forged, minimally finished knife with a guard.  Most have been full-tang camp knives.  But I got on a roll and wanted to do this.

The blade is 52100, forged very close to final shape, and only ground enough to bring the edge and clip to a sharp edge.  The surfaces that were ground are hand-finished and the entire blade is blued.  The curved guard is antique wrought iron.  The handle is a beautiful piece of English Walnut with some thin stainless accents.

The sheath is a high-ride version with a pebble tooling pattern.  The blade is 8.5" with an overall length of 14"
