Tanto EDC - Ironwood
New for 2024, this blade is a fun homage to my earliest knives, which were tanto-pointed carry knives. However, this version is more than a little bit improved from those early designs - steel, geometry, handle shape. In general, I love this size knife as a daily carry piece, and coupled with horizontal carry it makes a great companion. It'll never give you up, never let you down, never run around and desert you.....
The blades are forged from my Laminated steel (410 stainless with a 52100 core). Forge texture remains at the spine with satin finished blade bevels. Tangs are tapered, and finished with polished desert ironwood handle scales secured with black composite pins.
The sheath is my favorite horizontal carry model for a 1.5" belt and it works right or left handed, edge up or down.
Blade length: 3.5", Overall 7.75"
