From the classic elegance of ladder pattern to the infinite complexities of mosaic, Damascus pattern possibilities are endless. If you've already been making Damascus, but would like to learn more about how to create more intricate patterns, and how to polish and etch your finished Damascus, this is for you. This is a class that requires prior experience with forge welding Damascus steel. And rather than focusing on finishing a knife, you will leave this class with several billets of Damascus steel, ready to turn into your knives from your home shop.
This is a three-day class, May 27-29, 2026.
The class is $1500 for the three-day class. In order to book the class, only a $100 deposit is collected. The balance can be paid when you arrive by cash, check, or credit card. Class is limited to four people. You must be at least 18 years of age at this time.
Travel: If you are thinking about traveling here for a class, here's some info. There's a great local airport about 20 minutes from the shop called Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Blountville, TN (airport code: TRI). There are several hotels very close as well. The Fairfield Inn and Suites (Bristol, TN) and the Hampton Inn (Bristol, TN) are the closest, but there are many more just a short drive away.
