Post-Apocalyptic Wakasashi

Another exceptionally fun piece, this short sword is just what the Dr. ordered when you host your next watch party for your favorite testosterone-laden violence flick.

The blade is forged very close to shape from 80CRV2, then flat ground with convex cutting edges. Forge texture remains along the spine with the entire blade covered in the detritus of many battles (a.k.a. my wicked patina finish). The handle is cotton and nylon cord, wrapped in a neo-Japanese style and soaked in epoxy. The resin fully impregnates the cord while leaving the surface looking and feeling like cloth.

The leather scabbard has no belt loop, perfect for that grab-and-go battle option.
