Textured Camp Knife
This knife shows another version of the possibilities of texture, both on the blade, handle and leather. I love this blade shape, classic, yet with a touch of the new. It is big and fast in the hand with wonderful grip.
The blade is 52100, forged from 1" round bar, and differentially tempered. The spine is textured with a pattern I use a lot, and which quite resembles the texture of the leather. The blade is satin finished everywhere but the textured areas.
The handle is also that great English walnut, hand finished and covered with a Japanese style wrap.
The sheath is another treatise of the faux inlay, this time with airbrushed highlights at the borders of the "inlay." The sheath has my versatile "V" notch belt loop, also with airbrushed highlights.
Blade length is 9-3/4" with an overall length of 15".
