Wrought Camp Knife
Here's a camp knife made with a bold ladder pattern Damascus blade (52100 and 15N20) in a recurved shape with a long clip point. It's a thick blade with a slight forward heavy feel for a lot of shopping power in a reasonably compact package.
The bolsters are forged from a 19th century wrought iron wagon tire (pictured), and deeply etched to bring out the pattern. The handle is spalted maple from right here on my property, all secured with domed nickel silver pins. The deep pouch sheath is my Dragonskin pattern with a "V" notch belt loop for flexible carry.
Blade length is 9", with an overall length of a little over 14"
