Forged Camp Knife

$ 2,100.00

This type of knife has become one of my most enjoyable pieces to make for so many reasons. Firstly, the joy of shaping a piece of steel with a hammer into a final blade remains one of my simplest pleasures in this business. Pair that with the inherent sense adventure embodied in every finished knife; the notion that one man can face the challenges of the wilderness with only a good knife at his side, makes a knife like this, in some ways, the epitome of all my work.

The blade is forged from 80CRV2, ground and finished where needed, and left with the signature of the hammer everywhere else. The handle is toasted, stabilized curly maple, and was cut not a mile from where it came to rest on this knife. The pins and lanyard tube are African Blackwood.

The simple yet elegant sheath is a deep pouch style made for right handed carry. It was the subject of an upcoming online leather sheath class I filmed for the good folks at Coal Iron Works.
