Vintage Micarta Integral

Beginning as W-1 round bar, this knife was forged to shape while essentially leaving the original bar untouched where it becomes the integral bolster, tying the handle seamlessly into the blade. The blade is clay hardened to leave a hard edge and soft back, and hand-polished to reveal the hamon.  

The handle is vintage linen micarta, shaped to mate to the curves of the integral bolster, attached with stainless steel pins, and polished.

The deep pouch is a high-ride model, right handed, with a mottled finish.
