This is the model I made for Field & Stream Magazine, April/May 2018 issue, and featured on the cover of the Field & Stream Total Knife Manual. The 4-1/8 " blade is long enough to handle skinning and cleaning of game, with a point fine enough for detail work. The tang is also fully tapered for better balance.
The forged blade is 80CRV2, with natural forge texture at the spine and satin finished bevels. The blade bevels are hollow ground for a wonderfully thin cutting edge.
The handle is toasted and stabilized curly maple with black micarta pins and carbon fiber lanyard tube. Hand-fitted and moulded leather pouch sheath is right handed.
